The E.R. staff can be rude. They've accused me of faking and the doctor had to say no, not all seizures are the same. Ended up being admitted for six or seven days. They were very nice upstairs. I guess I was basically waiting to see Neurology and be pronounced stable enough to leave. The fold was great and they had sodas. Television in my room and I dont remember visitor hours but my friend and sponsor came by with a stuffed animal and coloring books. They came round with meds. I usually take Klonopin but temporarily added xanax for my stay because of the added anixety of being in a hospital. Really nice staff. It was a decent and pretty painless experience. Only complaint is the E.R. I was a heroin addict at the time and very small so they had a rude demeanor with me and always assumed I was overdosing based on my appearance when I was having real SEIZURES and needed to change medications. They put me on Keppra which I still take today when I was inpaitent upstairs!
After suffering a severe head injury, I went to the Carrollton Baylor, Scott, White Medical Center emergency room for treatment. I was seen by a doctor (Doctor Fox) very quickly. After doing all of the tests, it was determined that I would have to stay overnight. At all times, the attending staff (Doctors, Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, and attendants) were all very cheerful and professional. Basically, they turned a very bad situation into something bearable. a BIG THANK YOU to all of the staff at Carrollton Baylor, Scott, and White.
I can honestly say that I had a good experience with this ER. I was picked up from a grocery store parking lot with extremely high blood pressure. They brought me to this emergency room and everyone was in the room waiting for me to get there. They got me hooked up and took all my vitals. Dr. Fox was very informative and always asked me if I had any questions. Highly recommended.
I was in the emergency room After a car accident. I was treated and x Ray's were taken And I was released w prescription for pain. I love Baylor and their staff is friendly and efficient.
I unexpectedly ended up in the emergency room due to a sudden and persistent spike in blood pressure, resulting in a week long stay in this facility. Even though my condition was not cooperative, even to the point of having multiple allergic reactions to multiple medications, the staff, doctors, nurses, technicians, room service delivery people, and housekeeping staff were patient and caring, and treated me professionally and with genuine caring. A hospital stay can be an extremely anxious time and I really appreciated having a good team of good people looking out for me.
Great place, clean and well maintained. Nice and professional staff. No baby changing stations in the mens bathrooms....inconvenient.
I'm from out of state and i must say it was a great experience. Nothing I'm use to,the doctors and state where very pleasant fast and efficient.
The gift shop here is top notch. Especially a lovely woman there named Pat. She took the time to help me pick out the perfect plant to send my friend who was having surgery. And all this over the phone!! Also the price was very reasonable! ๐
They definitely treat you like family, i was in here for 8 days and it went by so fast. The nurses are so kind, and the FOOD. Oh god the food..absolutely amazing. ๐๐
I've been a patient there several times, and have always received excellent care! The staff is very friendly, The Professional Staff are very competent and qualified, and the hospital is always very clean, and the food is delicious!!! This is now my home hospital and I am very pleased! I recommend it whenever I have the opportunity! I Love Baylor, Carrolton!!
Honestly, everyone I came in contact with was incredibly nice, including the doctor I saw, and I hope the right person pays attention to this post and it creates change...I came in yesterday because suddenly my elbow swelled up like a tennis ball and it was painful. I'm in the healthcare business, so I get that you can't always fix things instantly. But I was handed from person to person, over and over, no relationship link, no one addressed my main concern, and honestly I felt like I left exactly as I came, worried, hurting, and I have to wait til Friday to start all over again with another doctor. Meanwhile my fingers are starting to get numb/tingling...When I asked why they weren't draining fluid off my elbow, I was told they didn't want to add infection, whaaat? But they said specialist may drain it. Here's my point. Lack of communication when transferring patient from person to person-no relationship link-no least not where patient can see and overhear, that you care, and that you are trying to help....and finally at least with my patients...before I dismiss them, I make 100% sure that I have answered any and all concerns and questions they may have...including is there anything I missed....I guess maybe because I'm still sitting here, scared and in pain, and your customer service just called and wow, he said he would just go to another emergency room or urgent care....did he seriously just say that? Wow.
I believe that this place is awesome people are nice try there best on everything they can do to help people but you should not judge why this place is bad there some people that are not in good mood but I understand thank you for helping people bye.
ER admission was fast, responsive, informative, and accurate. Ongoing diagnosis resulted in being admitted to hospital. Once hospitalized, team of nurses and doctors demonstrated efficiency, diligence, patience, friendliness, and professionalism. Doctors were very knowledgeable and courteous. Nurses were extremely caring, attentive, and meticulous. Health concern was efficiently treated and resolved. Overall the experience exceeded expectations.
Your visit, simply put , Will always be what you make of it at any hospital, the greatest or the worst, in the world. With physical helthcare mental and emotional temperment and prior well being play a big part in receptiveness and response to proper and adequate treatment (and no two ailments or remedies look the same for two people, either). I am proud to include Baylor, Scott & White in my 'Family' as my Home birth hospital from the days of 'Trinity Medical Center', 24 years ago. Unfortunately due to a modern shift in heakthcare coverage i am knly covered for General Practitioners work at Medical City Lewisville, however i hVe experienced many illnesses, a birth, the birth of many nieces and nephews, a broken arm setting, and two surgergies in that hospital all under the care of various MD's & surgeons, and not once did i feel out of the loop on my own care plan but i felt like it was individualized and catered to me the best it can be in the face of our modern healthcare, and hospital staffing crises.
I can't speak for everyone else and I don't understand some of the complaints from other reviewers. My experience was very good. The staff, from the Doctors to Housekeeping, were very attentive, thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. I've had the unfortunate experience of spending time in a few hospitals over the past 6 or so years and Baylor Scott White - Carrollton is at the top of the list based on my experience which was only a few weeks ago. I would recommend their facility.
